Reveal Digital is guided by information industry veterans who share a passion for humanities content and Open Access.

Peggy Glahn, Associate Director

Peggy works to raise awareness of Reveal Digital’s model and directs engagement and outreach activities to the library community.

From her first job as a public library “page” until today, Peggy has spent nearly her entire life working with libraries. Much of her career was spent at ProQuest and Cengage/Gale, where her roles included indexing newspapers, selling digital content to libraries, conceptualizing and developing new print and digital reference collections. Prior to joining Reveal Digital, Peggy worked with national libraries and scholarly publishers worldwide to help plan and execute large digitization projects through service provider Apex CoVantage.

Peggy is excited to bring her well-rounded experience and love for working with librarians together to help advance Reveal Digital’s Open Access ideals.

Anne Ray, Managing Editor

After serving more than 10 years building collections for the JSTOR archive, Anne is delighted to be guiding Reveal Digital’s editorial development, working with advisors on shaping Reveal’s initiatives, building contextual materials, and establishing sourcing relationships with libraries to kick off production.

After beginning her career working on archaeology journals at AltaMira Press, Anne worked with librarians and scholarly publishers from all over the world at JSTOR. She managed numerous international projects, including building a digital library of journals in Hebrew and a collaboration to test a scalable production solution for Arabic language. Alongside her long-time love of the alternative press, Anne brings knowledge of bibliographic practices and archival research. Most recently, she’s a newly-minted MLA Field Bibliographer, where she focuses on contemporary literature. Anne is also an author of fiction, and has been a two-time fellow at the MacDowell Colony and the recipient of a Pushcart Prize. Awst Press will publish her first book of fiction in 2021.

Anne is thrilled to bring her skills in discovering cultural heritage materials to Reveal Digital’s mission.

Executive committee

Reveal Digital is advised by an executive committee composed of library leaders from across the country. This group of thought leaders meets with Reveal Digital’s management team twice each year at ALA meetings and remotely throughout the year. They help Reveal Digital remain closely aligned with the needs and values of the library community.
